Meet Diya
Hi, I'm Diya, and I've been helping students build confidence and achieve outstanding results in Maths and Science for over five years. During that time, I've worked with students in both one-to-one and group settings, as well as teaching at a well-established high street tuition centre.
One of the most rewarding parts of tutoring is seeing students exceed what they thought was possible. I've helped students progress from Grade 6 or below to achieving Grade 9s, and even supported a student in moving from Foundation GCSE Science to the highest Higher GCSE set, improving from a Grade 4 to Grades 7–8. Their progress was so remarkable that the school contacted their parents to celebrate, who were amazed by the transformation.
Academically, I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, with Grades 7–9 across my other GCSE subjects, before going on to study A-Level Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. Outside of tutoring, I worked in finance at the Royal Family's law firm before pursuing my dream of becoming a commercial pilot. I have earned my Private Pilot Licence (PPL), allowing me to fly up to four passengers, and achieved an average of around 95% across ten demanding aviation theory exams, all heavily focused on maths and science. I'm also proud to be part of the 6% of female pilots in the UK.
My goal as a tutor is to help every student believe in their own ability, develop genuine confidence in their learning, and achieve results they can be proud of.
